Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation

The Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation (PGSF) is a private not-for-profit, industry-directed organization providing undergraduate college and technical school scholarships and graduate fellowship assistance to talented men and women pursuing graphic communications careers. Our recipients include full time students as well as industry workers who seek additional education.

Since its creation in 1956, the Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation has coordinated the printing industry’s largest scholarship program. Individuals, companies, and associations provide both annual and endowed scholarship funds to PGSF, which administers the scholarship and fellowship programs on their behalf.

The purpose of our organization is to connect interested students, industry workers seeking additional training, present and past scholarship recipients, donors, educators, and industry professionals. PGSF as seeks to keep top-of-mind issues and ideas for the future of greater print and graphic communications industry.



Annual Amount

from $1,000 to $5,000 per academic year

Additional Selection Criteria

FULL-TIME STUDENTS:

HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS OR STUDENTS ALREADY ENROLLED IN A POST-SECONDARY PROGRAM

  • A full-time status (Full-time status defined as someone who is registered in 12 or more credits per term)
  • Must be pursuing a career in printing technology, printing management, graphic communication, packaging, or publishing.
  • Must have a 3.0 GPA or better.
  • Will be or is enrolled in a printing or graphics program at a technical school, college or university within the United States.

PART-TIME STUDENTS:

INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE CURRENTLY EMPLOYED BY A GRAPHIC COMMUNICATIONS COMPANY AND ARE SEEKING ADDITIONAL EDUCATION

  • Must be enrolled in a printing or graphics program at a technical school, college or university within the United States.
  • Intend to continue a career in graphic communications, printing technology, printing management, packaging or publishing.
  • Confirmation of your eligibility must be confirmed by your employer and are required for submission by May 1.
  • Must be currently employed by a company in the graphic communications industry.  This may be a service provider or a supplier to the industry.
  • No transcripts or GPA are required for the initial application.  If awarded, in order to be considered for scholarship renewal, the recipient must achieve and maintain a cumulative 3.0 or higher GPA.  Grades are to be submitted upon completion of coursework and sent to PGSF.

FULL-TIME:

  • Application must be completed and submitted by May 1, 2023.
  • Your official transcripts or a copy of your official transcripts must be submitted through the application site or sent to PGSF.
  • Two recommendations are required.  Simply enter their e-mail address and we will contact them for you.  (Please give your referral enough time to submit before the application site closes).

PART-TIME:

  • Application must be completed and submitted by May 1, 2023.
  • Scholarships maybe awarded for part-time study or for online-only programs.
  • Application must indicate the courses planned on taking and the costs of the courses.  This information will be used to establish the amount of any award.
