Marie Maxey Foundation Scholarships

We are a 501 c 3 non-profit organization focused on helping youth achieve better education outcomes.  We support education and mentoring  initiatives that help youth build self confidence and strengthen their emotional and spiritual well being.  We are currently awarding three scholarships--  the Christopher Goughnour,  Dulce Deinken and Elena Bathrick Scholarships.

Application Process

How to Apply for the Chris Goughnour Scholarship.

 This scholarship is open to Hispanic and Latin American origin youth that  are graduates of Bryant Alternative High School in Alexandria, Virginia and have been accepted to a two or four year college in the United States.  Please submit proof of college admission or current enrollment along with  a 500 word or less essay on "The Most Important Person in My Life" to michael@maxeys.org  by August 15, 2020.  A $500 scholarship will be awarded to the young person providing the winning essay on September 1, 2020.   We also request that each applicant sign up for Bing Giving and  list the Marie Maxey Foundation as your charity.  Instructions for signing up for Bing Giving are here.  We seek to support youth who have overcome hardship, need support with their higher education costs, and are focused on giving light to the world,  Explaining how you plan to help others and how the most important person in your life shaped your values would be important to highlight.  Our focus is bringing light into the world; share your story on how you will do that.

How to Apply for the Dulce Deinken Scholarship
