Merit

Scholarship Eligibility

To be eligible for this one-year one-time only scholarship, the applicant must:

• Be a full-time, sophomore or beyond;
• Be currently enrolled in an accredited degree-granting institution;
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 ("B" average);
• Demonstrate community service and involvement.

Financial Need

• Be currently enrolled in an accredited degree-granting institution;
• Have a minimum GPA of 2.5 ("C+" average);
• Demonstrate community service and involvement.

Thrive Scholarships

Scholarship Eligibility

A new award category, Thrive scholarships will be awarded to undergraduate students who have a financial gap in tuition and need assistance to move to the next level of their education or to graduate from college (graduating seniors). These awards will not exceed $1,000 per student. To be eligible for this one-year one-time only scholarship, the applicant must:

• Full-time student
• Sophomore or beyond
• Currently enrolled in an accredited degree granting institution or accepted if applying as a graduate student.
• Minimum GPA of 2.5 (C+ average)
• Demonstrates community service and involvement

Launch Scholarships

Scholarship Eligibility

A new award category, Launch scholarships will be awarded to undergraduate students who typically do not qualify for either the merit-based or needs-based scholarships. These students are experiencing a financial shortfall and need support to pursue their education. These students may also have success in athletic or artistic achievements and demonstrate leadership. To be eligible for this one-year one-time only scholarship, the applicant must:

• Full-time student
• Sophomore or beyond (undergraduate students)
• Currently enrolled in an accredited degree granting institution
• Minimum GPA of 2.5 (C+ average)
• Demonstrates community service and involvement

• Be a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
• Be at least a college sophomore
• Have a minimum 3.0 GPA
• Demonstrate exceptional academic achievement or extreme financial need
• Participate in leadership, volunteer, civic or campus activities
